ToucanCart is copyrighted and owned by Toucan Web Design Limited a Limited liability Company Registered in the United Kingdom. Toucan Web Design Limited sell licences for customers to use the software, it is NOT open source. Please see our licence page which you will have agreed to before using our software.

To run ToucanCart you will need a domain name and also a web server which runs both PHP and MYSQL, most web servers do!! You also need a Facebook account if you are using ToucanCart for Facebook.

Can i link it to my existing online store?
We are currently working on linking modules to link ToucanCart with some of the most popular online shopping carts.
ToucanCart for Facebook is already fully integrated with ToucanCart standalone shopping cart so you can trade on your own website and Facebook controlling everything from just one place.
We will be developing integrations with other shopping carts over the next few months, for a specific request please contact us.
Is it possible to modify the code?
NO you must not modify any of the code apart from the template files or tamper with any copyright notices in any way. To remove the licence notice you will have to purchase a seperate licence which entitles you to remove the copyright notices. If you are a PHP developer and interested in designing applications or working within the ToucanCart community you must contact us for details about development licences, these are issued upon payment of an annual fee and subject to stringent quality checks and references.

ToucanCart currently supports Paypal, Moneybookers and offline payments such as Cheques, Postal Orders and postal payments, we are currently working on many new payment Gateways including Nochex, 2Checkout, SagePay and many more that will be available as modules over the coming months.

ToucanCart will have the facility for the shop customer to choose what language and currency to display the products in, this is subject to the shop owner translating their product descriptions etc into the supported languages, the default language will be English.
[Back to top]How much is ToucanCart?
A ToucanCart licence will cost £19 this covers the administration cost of setting up the software to run on your web server, each licence is locked to a domain name and can only be used on one domain name, further domains will require individual licences.
Installation is fairly straightforward but if you require the software to be installed for you, there is a cost of £50 for the installation, we will require access to your web server and Facebook account to install the software, it is done by our own team so security is not a problem.
Copyright removal licence costs £35 this enables you to remove the copyright notices from the software, removing the licences without purchasing a licence is illegal and will result in legal action against you.
